The Finca Manantalia extends across 9000m2 and has the following features: Two springs emitting water rich in minerals at a constant temperate of 8ºC throughout the year. The water enters several ponds, or reservoirs, before it reaches the River Ungría. An orchard with several types and varieties of fruit tree: pear, apple, plum, walnut, quince, fig and cherry. This area is an inviting green meadow. A vegetable garden where the owners grow their supplies all-year-round: potatoes, tomatoes, green beans, courgettes, cucumbers, artichokes, peppers, lettuces, Swiss chard, cabbages, cauliflowers and peas. The garden has a reserved plot should the guests wish to grow their own vegetables. Several gardens that boast several tree and flowering species that are outstanding due to their dimensions, in the first of these cases, and to their array of colours in the second. One can find Quercus and several types of firs and pines. There is also a Linden tree (limetree). There are a variety of cultured species of rose; some of which are extremely fragrant. There are also zones of native and cultured herbs including: melissa, rosemary, lavander, thyme, laural and mint. A large variety of bird species nest in the estate: blackbirds, goldfinches, sparrows, swallows, swifts, woodpigeons, hoopoes, woodpeckers, robins etc…. We are often visited by bees that leave their hives to obtain the nectar they need to produce the highly-prized honey of the Alcarria. The 25 Km stretch of the valley of the river Ungría is dotted with several reformed, inhabited mills. The people of the village of Caspueñas are friendly and always keen to socialise with newcomers.
